BV皇家舒適一室套房昆斯蓋特哈德斯菲爾德 (BV Royal Comfy Studiosuite Queensgate Huddersfield)

A decent accommodation for a short stay. The place even provides a mini kitchen space which was not initially advertised but was a plus! Customer service was extremely helpful in terms of confirming the booking and figuring out how the shower works - apparently you have to pull a “lever” to turn on the shower, running water does not immediately come out of the shower as expected. Besides that minor hiccup, super easy to travel from this place given that the Huddersfield Bus Station is less than 10 mins and is reliable and is directly opposite the University of Huddersfield which makes it feel safe for a solo female traveller. Check-in and checkout was easy given that you will have to refer to the email sent on the digital lock passcode for the building entrance and the room. There isn’t a reception or customer service desk - more of an Air BNB concept.

優點是位置非常醒目，就在路口，對面是大學大門背後是酒吧等商業街；缺點就是來往汽車和酒吧街的噪音很多。 作為公寓來説，配置和打掃還是比較充分的，溫馨風格。房屋和設施都偏舊地板浮動，管理偏混亂，公寓留給訂房網站的電話是過期的，googlemap才查到網上客服，態度可以但應對慢。排風扇報修一直也沒人修。

Even though room was ok, the process was more like AirBnB rather than Hotel which was the impression that was given to me when booking. After a 4 hour train journey from London I expected a hotel reception interfacing with real person rather than a coded door with PIN not working. In the end I had to ring Trip advisor to sort out issue and missed the start of the party I was commissioned to film from 4pm as I reached there until after 5pm😢 Lesson learned from this is to research Hotel in more detail to prevent any further repeats.
